According to Oklahoma Law, a woman under 18 years of age requires parental or guardian consent before she can obtain an abortion. The consent paperwork required for minors and parent/guardian must be completed 72 hours before receiving the abortion pill. To complete this paperwork, you and your parent/guardian (has to be one of the parents on your birth certificate) must present valid ID and a copy of your birth certificate, and the paperwork must be notarized. For your convenience, we do have a certified notary in our clinic.
Teens 17 and younger, can have an abortion without parental or guardian consent by completing a judicial bypass process. PLEASE NOTE that you will need a current sonogram to take to the judge prior to applying for a judicial bypass.
